How do I schedule an appointment?

If you're interested in starting therapy, I invite you to reach out to schedule a complimentary 10–15 minute phone consultation. This initial conversation gives us an opportunity to discuss your concerns, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether my practice is a good fit for your needs.

By Phone:
Please call (202) 813-0402 and leave a confidential voicemail with your name, phone number, and the best time to reach you. I check voicemail regularly throughout the week and make every effort to return calls within one business day.

By Email:
You may also contact me at Lindsay@DrLindsayPerrin.com to inquire about availability or ask general questions. Because email is not a secure form of communication and timely delivery cannot be guaranteed, please do not include confidential or sensitive personal information in your message. Email should not be used for urgent concerns or emergencies.

What is your fee and how do I pay?

My fee will be discussed during our complimentary initial phone consultation, and I am happy to answer any questions you may have about payment, insurance reimbursement, or using your out-of-network benefits.

Payment is due at the time of each session and may be made by credit card, electronic check (ACH), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.

I believe that finances should be discussed openly and transparently. If you have questions about payment or your particular situation, please feel free to ask. Whenever possible, I will work with you to find a payment arrangement that supports your access to care.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not participate directly with insurance plans. However, many health insurance policies include out-of-network mental health benefits that may reimburse you for a portion of the cost of psychotherapy.

If you plan to use your out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a monthly superbill (an itemized statement of services) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement amounts vary depending on your individual insurance plan.

Before beginning therapy, I encourage you to contact your insurance company to learn more about your out-of-network mental health coverage, including your deductible, reimbursement rate, and any requirements for submitting claims.

If you have questions about the reimbursement process, I am happy to discuss how out-of-network benefits typically work and provide the documentation needed to help you access your available benefits.

What time are you available for appointments?

I offer weekday appointments from morning through early evening, with flexible scheduling designed to accommodate work, school, and other commitments whenever possible. During our initial consultation, we can find a regular appointment time that works well for your needs and supports consistency throughout the therapy process.
